Mthabeleni Consultants is a Professional Civil Engineering Consultant that provides Civil Engineering services. This
company is based in Pietermaritzburg (KZN) and Polokwane (Limpopo Province). The trainee Civil Engineering Technician
required is for a fixed 12 months contract and should be from Kwazulu Natal.

REQUIREMENTS

• A Civil Engineering student with S3/S4 level or 2nd year student looking for in–service training experience as part
  of the requirement for National Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Code B Driver’s license and able to drive.
• No experience required.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The candidate will be based at the office and Site and undertake site visits from time to time as deemed necessary, which
include the following:

• Prepare weekly reports and monthly progress reports.
• Assist in preparation of bill of quantities.
• Attending site visit and assist in carrying out inspections under the supervision of senior staff.
• Undertake inspections and measurements on day– to day contract activities.
• Assist the site team with administrative functions for reports, request for quotation, preparation of payment certificate.
• Be able to interpret construction drawings.
• Keep sensitive information in a confidential manner.
• Implementation of Quality Management system.
• Preparation and maintaining of projects records including photos, reports, Quantity measurement and ensuring safety on site.
• Key performance areas and indicators may be assigned to you from time to time. Training will be provided, where necessary, and you are required to make every effort to receive and apply the training received.
