TPM (CK100MK4) – Power Manager
The Power Manager (TPM) is designed to prevent nuisance tripping of the main circuit breaker on remote sites by start-up staggering and load rotation. In addition, the system incorporates a generator input, enabling source selection. Lastly, on shared sites, the TPM controller meters the energy consumption with class one meters – allowing for accurate billing of tenant’s electricity bill.
The TPM latest model is remotely controlled, monitored and configured via TCP/IP, including the readings of the electricity metering data!
Nuisance tripping prevention of the mains supply circuit breaker is done by managing the power consumption of the site owner and up to three sharing tenants.
During operation the current measurement is done per phase for each party connected to the system. As soon as any one of the phases exceeds a programmed limit, the system will activate rotation mode to limit the current consumption to a value below that of the circuit breaker.
Start-up Staggering
After a power failure, there is normally a high starting current. If the supply is insufficient to cater for such a current demand spike, the site’s main circuit breaker will trip and the site will go down until a technician is sent to site. The TPM manages this problem by systematically connecting the power to the parties connected to the system in a staggered and controlled manner, preventing an overload condition.
Load Rotation
The TPM continuously monitors the current consumption during operation. Should there be a sudden current spike due to starting of some equipment on one or more of the connected parties, the system rotates a load shedding scheme to the connected parties to manage this over-current demand. The load shedding scheme is fully configurable by the site owner.
CK3 – NAVIGATION LIGHTS & MAINS MONITOR
The CK3 is a DIN raile mount device, developed by CK Solutions. It serves two core functions, which are essential for telecommunication sites:
- Navigation Light Sensing – The CK3 can detect a fault in the site’s navigation lights (up to three bulbs) and raises an alarm when a fault is detected.
- Mains/Phase Sensing – The CK3 monitors up to three phases and indicates their health status. If a fault is detected on any of the phases, a “Phase Alarm” is raised. In case of all three phases failing, a “Mains Alarm” is raised.
The CK3 can operate in a “standalone” mode or it can be connected to the TPM, allowing alarms to be sent via TCP/IP and SNMP to a remote Network Monitoring System (MNS).
The CK3 has been deployed in thousands of Telecommunication sites and have a proven track record in the field. The sensing and alarming capabilities of the CK3 allow our customers detect when their sites experience failures which require immediate attention.

TK1 ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROLLER
CK Solutions’ Environmental Controller (TK1 Controller), is an innovative and sophisticated temperature controller, specifically designed for cooling Base Station sites with high-load density. The controller monitors conditions inside and outside of the shelter and controls the cooling mechanisms available on the site (air-conditioners and free-cooling) so as to optimize energy consumption, while keeping the internal environment within strict parameters.
The remote monitoring and configuration of the controller allows the site owner to monitor the current status of the site, receive alarms as well as set thresholds, priorities and a variety of alarms to be triggered by configured parameters – all from the comfort of their office!
The TK1 controller has been deployed in the field in thousands of sites and has been reducing our customer’s operational costs for years! Why waste money on constantly running the power hungry air-conditioning, when you can optimise your site’s electricity bill with the TK1 Controller?!
TK1 POSITIVE PRESSURE AHU
CK Solutions’ Positive Pressure cooling system, is a free-cooling system specifically designed for cooling Base Station sites with high-load density. The system’s controller (see above) monitors conditions inside and outside of the shelter and controls the cooling mechanisms (air-conditioners and free-cooling) so as to optimize energy consumption, while keeping the internal environment within strict parameters. The system is suitable for new site builds, but has been specifically developed for retro-fit onto existing sites with 1 or more BTS units.
In comparison with other free-cooling systems it has been optimised to:
- Deliver large flow volumes
- Offer high-level security once installed
- Extend filter service life
- Maximise the use of free cooling
- Control the air-flow path through the shelter
- Modularity – 3.5 kW heat extraction modules, added as per the site’s needs
The system is similar to traditional free-cooling systems, but offers some unique advantages. Firstly, the unit can supply large flow volumes at 48VDC. Secondly, the system includes a specially developed BTS cowling that helps expel exhaust air directly from the top of the BTS without contaminating the shelter. This allows the system to maintain supply temperatures extremely close to the environmental temperature and significantly increases the useable free-cooling period.

PRODUCTS
LAMP POST
The Lamp Post form part of our Low Profile Solution (LPS) range of offerings. These are visually appealing, small-form-factor towers and equipment shelters that can be rolled out rapidly (3 – 5 days) to provide increased wireless capacity between the traditional larger base stations.
This new solution comprises a pre-cast concrete plinth, a mono-pole with antenna heights ranging from 9m – 28m high, and a modular cabinet housing the power and RF equipment. Network back-haul connectivity is provided via Fibre optic or microwave links. Tellumat Integrated solutions provides the full solution, customised to our client’s needs, which can include our Environmental Site Controller and Power Management equipment into the design. Our solutions are compatible with the equipment of all major OEMs operating within South Africa (Huawei, ZTE, NSN and Ericsson).
As part of our Full Turn Key Solution offering, our Design Engineers will customise the Lamp/Flag Post solution to your specific needs, we will Acquire the site you are after, our Manufacturing Facilities will manufacture the customised solution, our Installation Teams will deploy and commission the site and our Maintenance and Support teams will look after the site long after it had been commissioned.
FIBRE PATCH PANELS
We offer Patch Panels for Fibre Optics. All our Patch Panel products include Compact Over-length Management (PPWCOM). We offer a 1U to 3U units with different Connectors configurations and Slack Storage options.
HIGH SECURITY CABINET SERIES
The Modular Cabinet series from CK is a highly-versatile outdoor shelter, purpose-built for housing electronic and communications equipment in a number of different configurations. The Cabinets provide a weather-proof environment, requiring minimum maintenance whilst affording environmental and mechanical protection to the internal equipment. It is supplied as a stand-alone unit fully reticulated and prepared for onsite installation. It is also available as part of a Full Turn Key solution, where TIS will provide the plinth, poles, environmental controllers, power management and the full / partial suit of our services.
The internal cabinet interface is also modular allowing a number of different mounting options from standard racking profiles to Shelves to user-specific equipment mountings. Furthermore a variety of cooling options are possible depending on user specifications. We have designed our cabinets to be easily customized via interchangeable panels.
